Two new book contributions are on their way since the last couple of months, a chapter on ideology and a chapter on measuring incomes
- A handbook chapter on “Ideology and Electoral Choice” has appeared in The Routledge Handbook of Elections, Voting Behavior and Public Opinion. It discusses various conceptions of ideology – from the history of ideas to (social) psychology and the empirical evidence about the influence of ideological orientations on voting behaviour.
- A methodological contribution about the reconstruction of standardized income scores is going to appear in Die deutsche Gesellschaft im Spiegel der Allgemeinen Bevölkerungsumfrage Sozialwissenschaften (ALLBUS). It discusses how standardised income scores can be computed from income measured from grouped income categories. It proposes a technique based on a generalization of the inverse mills ratio.
